PHA Current/Foundation Members
PowerHousing’s geographic reach includes members in Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, ACT, Victoria & New South Wales. We are also focussing on recruiting new members in Queensland and Northern Territory.
PowerHousing Australia is not "an exclusive club", we are looking for a diverse range of members to build sustainability, robustness and scale in the national affordable housing arena.
All PowerHousing members are approved on the basis they fulfil the following seven membership criteria.
PowerHousing members must be/have a:
- Mission-Driven organisations – independent organisations with the objective of providing affordable housing and related services to low/middle income families
- Sound businesses – financial viable organisations with strong executive bodies and professional management, staff and system
- Significant impact – develop, finance or provide high impact initiatives which are at ‘best practice’ level in a given geographical region
- Public-private partnerships – members must be established business organisations that are currently facilitating partnerships with government and private entities, or are planning to do so in the near future
- Regional scope – Operate on a regional or nationwide basis with accountability to civic leadership of the area they serve
- Collaborative culture – a history of collaborating with peer organisations to improve current practices and to seek out new opportunities
- Readiness for peer-to-peer exchange - readiness to engage in peer-to-peer exchanges whereby, members share best practice ideas, share learning and innovation and develop performance standards and benchmarks with their peers. This also includes a readiness to collaborate with other members to identify and develop affordable housing opportunities
